Rohilkhand University’s Microbiology Department Hosts Fresher Party

Bareilly: The Department of Microbiology at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University organised a fresher party on Sunday to welcome newly admitted students. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who presented a variety of cultural performances.

Head of the Department, Prof. Pankaj Kumar Arora, said the tradition of senior students welcoming newcomers plays an important role in student life. Such programmes help develop teamwork and a sense of belonging among students, he added.

During the event, students introduced themselves and shared their future plans and aspirations. First-year MSc students presented cultural programmes that entertained the gathering.

Prof. Arora extended his best wishes to the newcomers for a bright future and emphasised the importance of discipline. Dean Prof. J.N. Maurya shared important career-related guidance with the students, while Dr. Vijay Kumar Sinha, Head of the Department of Bioinformatics, encouraged them to work with team spirit.

Dr. Abha Trivedi motivated the students and presented a poem during the programme.

Based on their performance in various activities organised during the fresher party, Kaiful Haq Khan was selected as ‘Mister Fresher’ and Tanushka Agrawal as ‘Miss Fresher’. The department congratulated both winners.

Dr. Sanjay Patel, Dr. Charanjeet Kaur, Dr. Aarti Gautam and Dr. Rashmi Gangwar, along with other faculty members and students, were present on the occasion.
